A regional meeting point
Colombo is a natural gathering point for participants travelling from across Asia and beyond. PENSA 2027 will welcome 1,000+ delegates, including 600+ international participants.
The Congress of the Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition Society of Asia — from the molecular science of nutrition to the meals, patients and communities it serves.
In Sri Lanka, we welcome you with Ayubowan, “may you live long.” Offered with palms gently pressed together at the heart in the Anjali Mudra, it is a timeless expression of respect, goodwill and a wish for a long and healthy life.
For PENSA 2027, that welcome carries special meaning. As a community dedicated to advancing nutrition, health and better patient outcomes, we gather in Sri Lanka with a shared purpose — to exchange knowledge, strengthen connections and help people live healthier lives.
Ayubowan. Welcome to Sri Lanka. Welcome to PENSA 2027.
Sri Lanka provides a distinctive setting for PENSA Congress 2027, strategically positioned at the heart of the Indian Ocean and naturally connecting South Asia, Southeast Asia and the wider international community.
Hosting PENSA in Colombo creates an opportunity to bring the regional nutrition community together in a destination that combines accessibility, established healthcare and academic expertise, warm hospitality and an increasingly important focus on nutrition and population health.
For five days, Sri Lanka will become a meeting point for clinicians, researchers, academics, nutrition professionals, innovators and industry leaders from across Asia and beyond — creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, build professional relationships and develop collaborations that continue long after the Congress.

The PENSA Congress 2027 will explore the full continuum of nutrition; from the science that helps us understand nutrition at a molecular and metabolic level, to its translation into clinical practice, everyday meals, healthier communities and stronger societies.
Bringing together clinicians, nutrition professionals, researchers, academics and industry experts from across Asia and beyond, the Scientific Programme will create a platform to share evidence, challenge thinking, exchange practical experience and explore how advances in nutrition science can translate into better health outcomes.
The detailed programme is currently being developed by the Scientific Committee. Building on PENSA's multidisciplinary approach, the Congress is expected to encompass clinical nutrition and nutrition therapy; enteral and parenteral nutrition; malnutrition; critical care; obesity and metabolic health; nutrition across the life course; cancer and renal nutrition; reproductive health; infectious diseases; specialized nutrition support; and emerging issues in nutrition science and practice.
These areas will be brought together through plenary sessions, scientific sessions, expert discussions, workshops and opportunities for research exchange. Scientific programme, international and regional faculty, abstract submissions and session details will be announced progressively.
Five days of plenaries, scientific sessions and workshops at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo.
